Occasionally procedures require referral of treatment to a Specialist. We have created a network of excellent Specialists to meet our patients needs. Infection ControlBoth the doctors and their team share your concern about the spread of disease and want you to know your protection, care, and comfort are our top priorities. We work hard to safeguard you and our dental team against infections. When you visit our office you will see a clean, carefully maintained office that meets, or exceeds, the highest infection control standards. Your protection starts before you enter our treatment rooms. All surfaces have been cleaned and disinfected, all instruments and handpieces (drills) have been sterilized, and we have disposed of anything that is potentially infectious. Our dental team wears gloves, eye protection, masks, and complete protective wear during each procedure. After each patient, they discard their gloves, their hands are washed and disinfected, and they put on new gloves. Call 704.882-1113 or contact us. YOUR beautiful smile is waiting.
Preventive ProgramPeriodontal disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. In it’s early stages it shows few symptoms, it’s painless, and you are not even aware it’s there. CrownsAlso called caps, crowns are natural-looking covers that fit snugly over your teeth to conceal cracked, badly discolored, injured, or chipped teeth. Crowns minimize physical discomfort and provide support to damaged teeth. Ultimately, crowns can improve the overall appearance of your smile while making your teeth more resistant to injury. We use only all-porcelain (ceramic) and PFM (porcelain fused to metal) crowns in our practice. For more information about crowns, please contact our office today. Porcelain VeneersVeneers are porcelain “facings” that bond to the front surface of your teeth and can alter the color and even the shape of your teeth drastically. They are very thin (about the thickness of a fingernail) and have a variety of uses. Veneers can be used to whiten your teeth, straighten your teeth, close spaces, and even repair chipped or worn teeth. Once cemented, they are very strong and really enhance your smile. Digital X-RaysForrest and Forrest is pleased to be on the state-of-the-art technology and offers Digital X-rays, one of the newest X-ray techniques. This procedure offers less radiation exposure and is viewable instantly. Once the film is taken (similar to the old procedure), the image is sent directly to a computer and the image appears on the screen for the doctor and you to view. With digital X-rays stored in the computer, the computer then allows the doctors to compare your current images as well as previous images. Smaller changes previously undetected can now be caught earlier and be seen in more detail. This process gives the doctors a much clearer image for diagnosis of any changes or procedures that may need to be addressed. Call 704.882-1113 or contact us. YOUR beautiful smile is waiting.

Implant RestorationThe Forrests perform dental implant restoration by attaching artificial crowns to implants anchored in the bone below the gum line. After the anchor has been surgically placed, excess bone and gum grow around the implant, holding it firmly in place. An artificial tooth can then be attached to the implant. The end result is a strong, secure tooth that is virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. To find out if dental implant restoration is right for you, please contact us today. Root Canal TherapyEach of our teeth contains a long, thin strand of dental pulp—which provides the tooth with nutrients and nerves—that extends down to the tooth’s root. If the pulp becomes infected or injured, and the pulp dies, the tooth dies as well. Root canals are designed to save such damaged teeth. During the procedure (performed under anesthesia), a small hole is drilled into the tooth and into the pulp chamber. The diseased pulp is removed, and the tooth is permanently sealed with a gold or porcelain (tooth-colored) crown. For further information on root canals or to schedule an appointment, please contact us today. Call 704.882-1113 or contact us. YOUR beautiful smile is waiting
ExtractionsIn only the most extreme and necessary cases—such as when a tooth's roots are damaged beyond repair—we may extract a tooth in preparation for a restorative dentistry procedure. If you have any questions about tooth extraction, please feel free to contact us. Call 704.882-1113 or contact us. YOUR beautiful smile is waiting
Intraoral CameraThe intraoral camera is a revolutionary diagnostic dental tool allowing us to more clearly identify potential problems within the mouth early on. The tiny intraoral camera can be inserted into a patient's mouth, taking pictures of the teeth and displaying the images onto a computer screen. Using the intraoral camera saves time and makes problems easily visible to both patient and doctor. Patients can view the areas we will be working on, making procedures easy to understand. The accompanying software also provides clear and accurate data so that the best treatment options can be selected. To learn more about the intraoral camera, please contact our office today.
